The king of Almanacs is taking on new territory!

The long-established, highly respected and best-selling Reeds Nautical Almanac will soon be available online as well as in print. Features will include:

  • Enhanced chart capability, updated in realtime and available for registered members
  • Up to the minute tidal flow and weather information
  • Directory listings covering all UK and selected European ports

Regarded as the bible of almanacs for anyone going to sea, 2008 will see the launch of a feature-packed online format, providing all the data required to navigate Atlantic coastal waters around the entire UK, Ireland, Channel Islands and selected parts of the European coastline... in REALTIME.

The Online Almanac is due to launch early summer — keep checking here for further details.

Reeds Nautical Almanac is 75 years old!

The ‘yachtsman’s bible’ has come a long way since its first incarnation in 1932 (see some of the early editions reproduced here) so as a salute to those early editions we have reinstated, for the 75th edition, the much remarked upon ‘childbirth at sea’ section — so now you really can be sure that Reeds Nautical Almanac contains everything you need at sea!

From a small format black and white volume it has blossomed into a large format, full colour, highly illustrated paperback of a whopping 1050 pages — providing all the data required to navigate Atlantic coastal waters from the UK, Ireland, Channel Islands and the entire European coastline from the tip of Denmark right down to Gibraltar! And it now contains over 7500 waypoints and over 700 harbour charts. In the Almanacs section you can read what some of today’s intrepid and revered yachtsmen and authorities have to say about Reeds Nautical Almanac.

Referred to as ‘the yachtsman’s bible’, a ‘tour de force’ and ‘the king of Almanacs’ we hope you’ll take Chay Blyth’s advice: ‘Don’t go to sea without it’.

'The big, bold, extravagantly comprehensive king of almanacs' Yachting World

'On every cruising boat you'll find one of these... don't start your engines without it' Motor Boat & Yachting

'The last word in safety at sea... like having a seasoned master mariner on board with you for every trip' Bristol Independent
